An 18-module building was created, with training room, meeting and conference rooms, large break room, locker rooms with shower facilities, new mothers’ room and even a contemplation room.
The site layout enabled the construction of the new two-storey school 2,300m2 building fully segregated from the live operational existing school, as well as the safe demolition of the former school building and completion of external works.
Operating as a 315 place 1.5-form entry school complete with a 26 place nursery, the existing buildings stood as a time-served ‘CLASP’ system which were in a poor state of repair, and inefficiently configured.
The permanent building, housing an advanced eye clinic and state-of-the-art office space, was constructed using the latest Ibex steel frame modular building system, allowing large elements to be completed off-site.
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is the company behind the two premium heritage automotive brands. It had an urgent requirement for accommodation to house up to 600 personnel, a need driven by a new project being undertaken at the JLR Design & Engineering facility at Gaydon in Warwickshire.
