Meet our October employees of the month

Stepping up was the common theme among our October Employees of the Month, who went above and beyond on multiple levels to get their work done in their quest to support customers and colleagues.

Becky Wilson, who works in our Aylesford office, Tanya Forehead, who’s based in our Bristol office, and Tracey Knight from our Thames Valley office, are the latest members of staff to have been awarded Employee of the Month status. We’d like to thank this hard-working trio for all of their dedication and commitment and for being such a wonderful asset to the Algeco UK team.

Employee of the month #1: Becky Wilson, Office Administrator

This year, Becky has been seconded to our Aylesford branch from Gravesend – she has consistently gone above and beyond since day one of her secondment. She has shown unwavering commitment to the business team and the overall success of the service centre. In October,  Becky stepped up in a colleague’s absence, which involved her essentially covering for the Service Centre Manager. She made sure all responsibilities were managed seamlessly and that all customer orders were covered. Becky’s ability to maintain a positive atmosphere and keep the team on track during this time is truly commendable.

In addition to her impressive adaptability, Becky is always willing to provide colleagues with a  helping hand. Whether it’s offering to assist with specific tasks or providing support during busy periods, she is always the first person to step up. Her cheerful demeanour and encouraging attitude have a ripple effect, boosting morale and fostering a collaborative environment. Becky is also incredibly responsive and always addresses enquiries and concerns promptly. This reliability has had a significant positive impact on overall efficiency and team work.

Employee of the month #2: Tanya Forehead, Senior Hire Controller

Tanya stepped up into her current role earlier this year – how she has handled her promotion, additional tasks and training and developing the team has not gone unnoticed. During this time, she has dealt with several vacancies due to regional team restructuring, which have been filled using a temp to perm process. Tanya has been instrumental in developing employees from temp to perm and getting results as the team expands.

Collaborative working and generating support from regional members have played an essential part in helping and enabling Tanya to support growth within our team. She is always going above and beyond, learning new skills and becoming an expert in systems (e.g. our Business Central System) and processes for the better of the regional team and the wider company. Taking on four temp to perm staff and covering an entire region’s workload is no easy task, but through great leadership, Tanya has made, and continues to make, a big difference every single day. 

Employee of the month #3: Tracey Knight, Office Administrator

Tracey consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic, as well as a remarkable ability to support colleagues, which has made a significantly positive impact on our service. One of the key attributes that sets her apart, is her willingness to step in and cover for colleagues during annual leave and absence. Tracey not only makes sure workloads are managed smoothly, she takes the initiative to maintain a continuous service, which is invaluable to our operations and customers.

Tracey also frequently collaborates with other service centres, assisting with various tasks and projects, such as raising purchase orders or supporting orders. Her proactive approach fosters a spirit of teamwork and strengthens our interdepartmental relationships. Tracey excels when it comes to customer interactions – she has a natural talent for making customers feel valued and heard, resulting in consistently positive feedback. Her ‘can-do’ attitude inspires confidence in colleagues and customers alike, making her an integral part of our team.
