How to reset your wall panel heater
If your wall mounted heater has stopped working, is not producing heat, or the control panel is unresponsive, a simple reset may resolve the issue.
Watch the video below for a step-by-step guide on how to safely reset your heater control panel.
Common signs that the heater may need resetting include:
- No heat being produced.
- No display lights showing on the heater control panel.
- The heater appears unresponsive.
Please note: Only take action if it is safe to do so.
Before you begin
Check that the power supply to the heater is switched on at the consumer unit.
Step 1 – Check the Fuse
Locate the fused spur supplying power to the heater and check the fuse.
Important: If the fuse is damaged, melted, or cracked, do not continue. Isolate the power supply where it is safe to do so and contact Algeco for assistance.
Step 2 – Check the Heater Settings
Ensure the temperature is set higher than the current room temperature.
If the heater has a timer or programme setting, check that:
- The heater is not set to OFF.
- The current time falls within an active heating period.
For more information on adjusting heater settings, please refer to the Equipment Usage Guide.
Step 3 – Switch Off the Heater
Turn the heater off at the fused spur.
Step 4 – Wait and Restore Power
Wait a few seconds, then switch the fused spur back on.
Step 5 – Check Operation
Confirm that:
- The display lights have returned.
- The heater is operating normally.
- Heat is being produced.
