How to fix an extractor fan
If your extractor fan isn’t working, the issue is often related to the power supply or a simple blockage. In most cases, it can be resolved quickly by carrying out a few basic checks.
Watch the video on the right for a step-by-step guide on how to get your extractor fan working again.
Please note: Only take action if it is safe to do so.
1. Check the lights first
Check whether the lights in the unit are working. The extractor fan is usually connected to the same power supply, so if the lights are off, this may indicate a power issue.
2. Check for blockages
Inspect the fan and remove any dust, dirt, or debris that may be preventing it from operating correctly.
3. Test the fan
Turn the fan back on and check whether it is now working as expected.
If the fan still doesn’t work after completing these steps, the fan unit or power supply may be faulty. Please contact our support team below for further assistance.
