How to get water flowing from your bowser
If your water bowser isn't supplying water, there are a few common issues that could be causing the problem. You may notice that water has stopped flowing, the pump isn't operating correctly, or the unit appears to have no power. These issues are often caused by a simple power interruption or reset and can usually be resolved quickly on site.
Watch the video on the right for a step-by-step guide on how to get your water bowser working again.
Please note: Only take action if it is safe to do so.
- Check the power supply switches outside the bowser are turned on.
- Check the fuse box located above the power switches.
- Make sure the pump and heater are turned on.
- Make sure the water level is above the pump.
- If the pump is running but no water is coming out, loosen the bleed cap on the pump until water flows, then tighten it again.
Following these steps can often get the water bowser back up and running within minutes, helping to reduce downtime and avoid unnecessary callouts.
