How to reset your water heater
If your water heater is not working correctly, there are a few simple checks you can carry out before requesting support. Most issues are linked to power supply, water flow, or a safety cut-out that can be reset quickly.
Common problems:
- No hot water
- Water temperature incorrect
- Strange noises
- Leaks.

Please note: Only take action if it is safe to do so.
- Check the main power switch is turned on.
- Check the fused spur is switched on and the fuse is correctly fitted.
- Turn the heater off at the main power switch.
- Wait at least five minutes.
- Turn the power back on to reset the safety cut-out.
- Confirm the power is on and the fuse is intact.
